4 Way Power Divider/Combiner, 700 - 2500 MHz
These units are ideal for in-building applications that require the combining or dividing of RF to accommodate multiple antenna locations.
Features & Benefits :
Low Insertion Loss
High Isolation
Low VSWR
Amplitude and Phase Balance
Broadband: 700-2500 MHz
Power dividers are also referred to as splitters or combiners. They are used to evenly split or combine signals. When properly terminated, they provide >20dB isolation between output ports. Splitters provide DC continuity from port to port so they can be used to distribute DC power through the coax. Each output port has the same loss with respect to the common, or input port. Splitters are not directional.
Typical Applications:
Adding antennas to an existing coax run.
Splitting indoor coax run for multiple coverage areas.
Combing multiple BDA’s to create a multi-band and/or multi-carrier system. In this case, cross band couplers should be used when possible since they do not incur power division losses.
Directional Couplers vs. Power Dividers/Combiners
Unless the starting signal level is very strong, it is generally poor practice to cascade or add multiple splitters back to back along a coax run. Directional couplers allow for a much more efficient and even distribution of signals, without unnecessary loss of RF signal.
